Congratulations to our award recipients for the month of November. Keep up the hard work.

Friday 20th of November 2020 was designated Donegal Day in Scoil Mhuire – everyone donned their county colours to show our support for our Senior Football team who were competing in the Ulster Final.

8th -15th of November 2020

We all had a very busy week learning about many different aspects of science and we had lots of fun while doing so.

The juniors helped make a bubbling ‘magic’ potion, did experiments with floating fruit and gummy bears and also had to design and build a raft to transport the 3 Billy Goat’s Gruff.

The senior room students explored forces, air pressure and the reaction of acids & alkali. Their experiments included building a hydraulic lift, ‘Walking on Air’, an exploding lunch bag and using red cabbage to dye clothing.

The children in the infant classes had a special treat for Halloween when they got a chance to make some yummy chocolate apples with Mrs Sharkey.
